This week, 10th grade students finished reading Clarice Lispector's The Hour of the Star in the school garden. Using their own hypotheses, they examined narrative strategies used by the narrator Rodrigo S. M., explored the meaning behind the story’s thirteen titles and attempted to make sense of Macabéa’s tragic destiny.

5th grade students at Avenues extended their study of resources by visiting the incredible Iguaçu region. They talked to experts and explored parks, businesses, mines, and farms driven by sustainability. A highlight of the trip was a very wet and exhilarating boat ride under the falls!
