Creative Computing Projects in 1st and 2nd Grade

Jennette Mullaney

Creative computing is an important part of the Lower Division curriculum. The goal of creative computing isn’t merely to arm students with 21st-century skills, it’s to empower young students to become creators, rather than just consumers, of technology. In this video, 1st and 2nd graders discuss some of the creative computing projects they’ve completed recently, programming interactive stories with ScratchJr or reenacting the water cycle using Ozobots.
