Kindergarten has been counting the days of school, and we finally reached 100! Students have been keeping count daily using straws and a pocket chart. When they finally reached 100, the students looked for 100 Hershey kisses and sang a special 100th day of school song.
Throughout the day, the kindergarteners found many ways to celebrate the 100th day of school. Students counted out 100 of several different materials – cups, Q-tips, paper rolls – and collaboratively built structures with them.
The kindergarteners crafted beautiful “100 days of school” necklaces consisting of 100 Froot Loops or 100 beads. And they had an opportunity to make silly hats decorated with 100 stickers or drawings. Kindergarten had so much fun counting to 100 in so many different ways!
