Spanish Language Cabaret Delights and Unites!

"La Vida es un Carnaval" the Avenues Spanish language cabaret thrilled packed audiences at all four performances. Featuring students from 6th-12th grades, Avenues singers and musicians, led by Senior Emcee Antonio put on a show to remember. Songs from all over Latin America were celebrated and donations from the event went to support Puerto Rican hurricane relief efforts. Co-directed by drama teachers Alexandra Aron and Jordan Mahome, with Music Direction from Gustavo Schartz, Spanish language narration from UD Spanish language director Macarena Teixeira, and Production Design: 10th grade design students ilab Director Katy Garnier.

Vann sings Astor Piazzolla and Horacio Ferrer's heartbreaking "Una Balada para un Loco" and brings down the house.
