New York Latinos: Untold Stories

Sixth Graders Get Their Hands Dirty at the Gowanus Canal

The science and World Course teachers for two 6th grade sections have teamed up for an exciting project that combines increased knowledge about the New York water system with community engagement and design thinking! Last week, we visited the Gowanus Canal Conservancy for the first of three field trips related to this project. The Conservancy works on protecting and cleaning the Canal, which is a Superfund site.

Celebrating Lunar New Year at Hudson Guild with Seven Chinese Songs – and Their Fascinating Histories
