Thomas Hill

Thomas Hill joins Avenues in fall 2013 as a physical education teacher, teaching PE to grades K-2 and fitness and wellness to Upper School students. He comes to Avenues after serving for a year as director of championship events for the Sun Belt Conference in New Orleans, LA. He was responsible for the marketing and promotion of pre-event and in-game activities for the conference’s 18 men’s and women’s championships. More...

Ryan Misler comes to Avenues this fall as an Upper School history teacher after spending the past two years in Morocco as a Fulbright research fellow and substitute teacher at the Rabat American School (RAS). Chris Cleaver

This fall Chris Cleaver joins Avenues as an Upper School chemistry teacher. He comes to us from Education First (EF) International Academy (Tarrytown, NY), where he was an IB/IGCSE chemistry teacher for grades 9 – 11 for both the International Baccalaureate (IB) and International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) programs and taught both standard level and higher level chemistry for IB students. More...

Jordan Mahome

Jordan Mahome will join Avenues in fall 2013 as an Upper School English teacher. He is already known to many older students from being the director of Oliver!, the Middle and Upper School musical performed last spring. He also wrote and directed the fifth grade musical for Community Partnership Charter School, where he spent several years teaching English and social studies in the primary and middle schools. More...

Meet Michelle Muldowney

Michelle Muldowney

Michelle Muldowney joins the Avenues faculty this fall as an Upper School chemistry teacher from Weill Cornell Medical College, where she has been part of the biochemistry department for three years as a lab technician and manager. Her focus was on studying the interaction of cells with the proteins that form Alzheimer's disease plaques through performing experiments using histology, optical microscopy and biophysical techniques. More...
