Since first joining Avenues in 2013, Bridget Sabala has served as a middle grades math teacher in the Upper Division, in addition to spending one year overseeing the middle grades Minimester program and another as the STEAM cohort leader for grades five and six.  More...

Crystal A. Bates joined Avenues in spring 2017 as a dean of students for grades 10 through 12. Crystal comes to Avenues from NYU, where she spent more than a decade in admissions and enrollment management roles.   More...

Kendra Wilson joins Avenues this fall as a physical education teacher in the Lower School. She will already be familiar to many students and parents in Middle and Upper Schools, as she has spent the last two years as a coach at Avenues for the Middle School girls’ volleyball and the JV girls’ basketball teams, and an assistant coach of both the Middle School and varsity co-ed track and field teams.  More...

Brendan Dolan is the instrumental music instructor for the Upper Division. Previously, he'd worked as a private and group instructor for children ages five through 18 in classical, pop and Irish music on piano, flute, tin whistle, drums and guitar.  More...

Edras Santana joined Avenues in 2012 as one of the ELC founding faculty members. In 2013, she got married (so she is now Edras De Jesus) and became the co-head teacher of a Spanish section of the nursery class. She is a passionate and dedicated educator with New York State teaching certification and a broad range of international experience.  More...

Ivan Cestero has been with Avenues from early days of 2011. He now teaches 11th and 12th grade electives in entrepreneurship and innovation in the World Course while overseeing the school's first student-run startup, Design4Impact, as part of the Mastery Program.  More...
