Kendra Wilson joins Avenues this fall as a physical education teacher in the Lower School. She will already be familiar to many students and parents in Middle and Upper Schools, as she has spent the last two years as a coach at Avenues for the Middle School girls’ volleyball and the JV girls’ basketball teams, and an assistant coach of both the Middle School and varsity co-ed track and field teams.  More...

On Monday, June 30, Avenues Chinese immersion teachers arrived by 8 a.m. to make the last touches to the classrooms, double check their first aid bags and ensure a smooth welcoming first day of the first cycle of Chinese immersion camp. All 24 Chinese immersion campers ranging in age from 3—12 years old showed up on time by 9 a.m. It went so smoothly that by 9:10 a.m. you didn’t even notice it was a day of summer camp, let alone in Mandarin Chinese.  More...

Thomas Hill joins Avenues in fall 2013 as a physical education teacher, teaching PE to grades K-2 and fitness and wellness to Upper School students. He comes to Avenues after serving for a year as director of championship events for the Sun Belt Conference in New Orleans, LA. He was responsible for the marketing and promotion of pre-event and in-game activities for the conference’s 18 men’s and women’s championships.  More...
