Music instructor for Middle and Upper Schools, Avenues: The World School

As part of Global Journeys, the Avenues Upper Division music department had the great fortune of making a trip to Botswana over spring break. Ten upper grades musicians and three teachers made the 15-hour flight for a 10-day musical collaboration with the world-class student marimba band of the Maru-a-Pula school in Gabarone, Botswana.  More...

Avenues on Tour was conceived as an effort to push students out of their comfort zones and in so doing demonstrate the generosity of spirit our mission statement espouses. We put students in a pressure cooker—a real-life situation in which they needed to put together a 40-minute musical review in two days and then perform at three disparate venues.  More...
